It’s no secret that the obesity eperdemic is spreading like wild fire throughout the world. America has the highest number of obese people in the world and the statistics show that this number is rising every year. These are many programs and studies that have been especially set up to monitor these numbers to try to understand why the number of overweight people increases each year and also to try to find a way to reduce it.

Obviously, the main cause of obesity generally is a lack of exercise and a poor diet in the individual. The rising number of fast food restaurants and junk food outlets combined with the advancement of TV and video games leads many people to have such an unhealthy lifestyle. Childhood obesity is one that is being monitored very closely. If you are a parent then it is your responsibilty to make sure your child is fit and healthy because if you don’t it could lead to many often serious illnesses later in life. Not to mention they may get bullied or name called whilst going through school.

It is vital to get them to do more exercise and eat more healthily. You should give them a set time that they are allowed to watch TV or play on their video games and once this is reached they should go and play outside, maybe a ball sport or even taking the dog for a walk. Whatever gets them to burn off some excess calories can only do them more good than harm. Also cut down the amount of chocolate and crisps they eat and replace them with fruit.

This alone will greatly help to reduce the obesity eperdemic that is spreading throughout the world. It literally costs millions just to deal with the illnesses caused by obesity, so reducing the amount of obese people will greatly cut down how much is being spent by countries and this money can then be used to do more useful things like aid in curing other diseases or aiding with poverty.

If we lived in a perfect world, inside a bubble, where all issues
of pollution and toxicity couldn’t harm us, then our bodies with
it’s liver and kidneys would easily perform their cleansing and
purifying duties.

We would be healthy and strong…

Unfortunately, we live in a world that is very toxic.

As these toxins enter our bodies they are then stored in our fat
cells, which makes it very difficult to lose weight.

Most diets never address the issue of cleansing toxins and
impurities from our our bodies.

That is why most people fail to lose weight or if they do, why they fail to keep it off.

What I’m about to disclose can be rather grim, but like they say the truth shall set you free:

# There is 700,000 tons of pollution dumped into our air and ground daily.

You may drink purified water each day, but how often do you take a shower?

# Studies have shown that our bathing and tap water has 700 different types of chemicals and heavy metals in them, including mercury and prozac. Yep, prozac.

Did you know that your skin is your largest external organ and like a vacuum your pores are sucking in those chemicals every time you take a shower.

# Maybe you eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, but what about all the pesticides and insecticides that have been sprayed on these items so they can make it to your local grocery store intact.

In fact, pesticides and insecticides have become part of our food chain.

And to make matters worse our soils are so nutrient depleted that a recent study found that a person would have to eat 40 bowls of spinach today to equal one bowl of spinach back in the 1940s.

# What if you’re a meat and potatoes type. Well, many of our cows and chickens are pumped full of steroids, hormones, and antibiotics just so they can get beefier and quicker to the chopping block, and into your stomach.

You are what you eat.

Fast foods, processed foods, ad nauseam, ad nauseam…

So you see when you go on a traditional diet the toxins are stacked against you.

Bad pun, I know.

The average human body has about 60 trillion cells in it.

Imagine if there was a technology that replenished, restored, and revitalized those cells, while removing harmful toxins.

How much better would you feel?

How much weight could you lose as a by-product of giving your body the nutrients that it craves?

I love kids. Especially fat kids. They’re like big teddy bears, nice to hold and hug. If I ever have kids, I wish all my kids are chubby and cute.

However, no matter how cute fat kids are, the reality is fat kids are better off losing their excess weight. Much have been written about the dangers of obesity in a child. As responsible parents, you should do whatever it takes to help your child lose the excess weight, or prevent her from getting fat in the first place.

Isn’t it great if you could prevent your child from getting fat, or reduce her risk of obesity?

To prevent your child from getting fat, first you must know the reasons that make a child fat. Once you know the reasons, you’ll be in a better position to take preventive measures that will reduce your child’s risk of getting fat.

Here’s the top 3 reasons why a child gets fat. The reasons are based on a study performed on Spanish children.

1. Watching too Much TV

If your kids watch too much TV, they’ll get fat. It’s not the TV watching itself that makes your kids fat, but the activities associated with TV watching like snacking. So, if you restrict your child from watching too much TV, you’ll reduce her risk of getting fat.

2. Family History of Obesity

If you’re fat yourself, your children will probably be fat too. Obesity seems to run in the family. If you’re fat, you should lose weight. Set an example your fat children will follow.

3. Consuming too Much Sugar-Sweetened Beverage

If your kids drinks too much sugar-laden sodas, they’ll get fat. You should monitor your child’s fluid intake and ensure that they do not consume too much sugar-sweetened beverage. Be especially stern when you take your child to fast food outlets.

According to the study, there’s one most important factor that prevents a child from getting fat – the time spent on physical activities during leisure time.

A child who engages in physical activities like exercise and sports protects herself from getting fat. You should encourage your child to exercise or take up sports. Even better, you should join your children in their physical activities. Not only you’re setting an example to your children, you also keep yourself fit and healthy.

Interestingly, the study finds several factors that bear no relation with your child’s risk of getting fat. They are:

1. Breast-feeding
2. Birth weight
3. Time spent sleeping

In summary, to prevent your child from getting fat, you should restrict your child’s time spent on watching TV, restrict her intake of sugar-sweetened beverage, set a healthy example your child will follow, and increases her physical activity.

We as humans are given the gift of the ability to learn and make intelligent choices in life, to understand how so many things work in the whole universe, yet we find ourselves living as if we don’t - in our daily activities, we live like we are penned animals.

The human body is capable of wonders, but laze has taken over us. Every day we laze. From the bed to the breakfast table, to the bus seat, to the office chair, and back home on the living room couch. Today, a lot of work is desk bound, a lot of work requires the running of the brain, but not the body. This keeps us tied to our chairs, tables and computers for long hours everyday!

As the saying goes “What you don’t use, you will lose.” If we stop using our physical ability of our body, we will one day find ourselves never being able to use them anymore. This sedentary kind of lifestyle can only do our bodies harm.

We need to keep our bodies healthy, and we need to seek exercise.

Obesity is a huge problem, especially in the developed countries in the world! The problem of obesity is mainly caused by laziness and overeating. People today don’t move around very much! Even those who say they “workout” - all the do is just run a round or two round the track. This is not even sufficient to offset your breakfast cereal!

So even exercise alone is not very efficient. What it takes for people to get healthy and fit is an all rounded program with includes both regular exercise, proper diet and sufficient rest!

Here are three things you can do daily to keep yourself up to shape.

1. Rest well and rest enough

Make sure that you get adequate sleep! Sleep time is the time where the body really rests and your muscles and brain are put at rest. Sleeping well means that you will wake up fully recharged and full of energy to go!

Sufficient rest therefore means that you can do more in the day, and do more exercise.

2. Take a walk

Many people think that exercising means you have to get into your running shoes and head off to the track to sprint. That is not the case. One of the best forms of exercises is walking. If you build up slowly, you can easily get yourself to walk for 30 minutes at a go, for five times a week. This not only helps you to workout, but also gives you time to relax and refect.

3. Watch what you eat

You are what you eat. The more ugly foodstuff you dump in yourself, the more ugly you will be. The healthier foods you eat, the healthier you will be! Of course, I’m not saying that you must totally abstain from all the hamburgers and chips. Eat in moderation. Fill yourself with at least 80% of healthy food like fruits and vegetables, and eat only 20% of meat, oil, and the likes.
