Not everyone has the time for a lengthy exercise program everyday. But all these new fad diets don’t seem to work and these weight loss pills just seem dangerous for the body. It seems like there should be an easier way.

Well there is.

I know it can be hard for people who are over weight. Some people’s bodies are different than others. The metabolism is different, their digestion is different. And there isn’t enough information out there to help these people make the right dietary choices.

First of all, for some people it is actually healthy for them to fast at least one day a week. This is not anorexia, this is honoring your body type. Light and dry foods should be the primary focus of someone who wants to loose weight and the most important foods to avoid are sweet fruits, meats, and lentils. If you need a sweetener, use honey. Avoid processed sugars.

Using a dietary supplement like Pharmanex LifePak Nano can help you stay balanced while you work to find out what is right for you. Pay attention to your bowels! If a certain food and/or food group gives you digestion problems such as gas or constipation it should be removed from your diet. If you constantly feel bloated or are having problems with digestion you need to take a day to fast so that your digestive power can regulate itself. I recommend a juice fast for beginners.

Stay active! Weight loss is possible. Activity will keep your metabolism rates up and will keep your mind off of food. Try yoga or maybe just take a stroll around your neighbor hood on the weekend. Join group activities if motivation isn’t your forte.

But just remember weight loss is in your hands and the final product is worth the work you put into it. Imagine that scale reading five, ten, twenty pounds less than it does now. You can do it.

Recent statistics reveal that Great Britain has the highest percentage of obese inhabitants in Europe, and it has been forecast that this figure is set to increase in size, if nothing is done about the problem. Although Great Britain has climbed to the top of a chart, I doubt even the most patriacal Brits could view this as any kind of victory. In fact this should act as a catalyst for us, as a nation, to act on these findings and begin to reverse the trend.

The report shows that one in five women and one in four men are now obese, with the North of the country being the worst affected. The obesity problem all around the world has been described as an epidemic, which may sound ridiculous, when we consider that this word usually follows diseases such as cholera and aids; however, it appears that as time goes on this description of the problem is becoming more and more warranted.

The fact is that being overweight or even being obese is not purely an issue in terms of physical appearance, but this disease can lead to all kinds of medical and potentially life threatening illnesses.

Diseases Associated with Obesity

- Diabetes
- Hyperlipidemia
- Blood circulation diseases like arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and palsy
- Skin disease
- Joint problems, back, knee, and ankle pain
- Liver disease
- Cholelithiasis
- Menstrual abnormalities
- Female infertility
- Breast cancer
- Endometrium cancer
- Decline in libido
- Mental stress

As if this list of illness were not enough, to reinforce the enormity of the problem and consequently the task ahead to solve it, some experts are predicting that by the year 2020 obesity related mortality will have overtaken smoking related mortality as the number 1 cause of death in Great Britain. It is of course up to our Government to ensure the welfare of its’ population (or employers), which will probably happen in time, after all the country wide smoking ban in public places is due to begin on July 1st, just decades after the dangers to health of such a habit were very clear to nearly everyone.

We do need to tackle this problem as a nation and I am sure that steps will be taken to do so, however, in the meantime there are simple steps that we can all take as individuals to improve the health of our own families.

For the safest and most affective method for you to guard against obesity or to cure obesity, I would recommend consulting your doctor, because they should be most qualified to deal with weight issues and concerns that you may have.

Vitamins and weight loss…is there a connection? Yes.

Weight loss is more than just counting calories and forcing the body to exist within a certain pre-measured amount of food. We need to get back to basics. Why does the body require food?

It requires food for the building blocks of all the systems of the body, it requires certain vitamins for certain parts of the body, it requires minerals for certain parts of the body to function. The same holds true for essential fatty acids, proteins, enzymes, and all the various nutrients that can be taken in and assimilated from food.

Eating is not just about calories. It is not about just getting a certain number of calories and that is all. It is about getting the full spectrum of what is needed for the body to function.

It stands to reason that the body, being a living organism, will crave what it needs. If it needs proteins, it will crave proteins. If it needs vitamins, it will crave vitamins.

Now if what it needs is not being provided, it will crave the next closest thing it can find. For example, if it can’t get Vitamin C from real orange juice, it might accept a sugary orange flavored drink as the next best thing, but when it doesn’t get what it needs, the craving starts again.

What is the answer? Learn about vitamins. Learn about minerals. Learn what the body needs and give it the basics. When you do, the cravings begin to diminish. The body is happier. And it is happier with less food. And healthy, long term, weight loss begins.

You are either overweight or obese because you are not eating right and your metabolism takes you for granted, it knows what you always eat, even though it should not know what you must eat tomorrow or the next day.

And you are unaware that you can actually hoodwink your metabolism into doing things more in your favor when you shift your calories intake. Yes, you can actually force your metabolism to burn all your daily calories intake plus, burn your fat tissues.

The opposite is the case for those of you who suffer from overweight or obesity. You let your metabolism fall into a pattern of always burning your calories based on your regular eating habit on a daily basis and as such does not burn any fat tissues; instead fat tissues accumulate on a daily basis from unburned excess calories.

So, if you want to lose weight or cure obesity, all you have to do to achieve your aim is begin to eat differently from now on. Start doing the opposite of what you have been used to in terms of calories intake. Changing the types of calories you consume, at intervals of more than a couple of days will make you lose a lot of weight.

Yes, the basic principle here, according to studies, is that if you keep changing the type of calories you eat as discussed above, your metabolism will burn all of the calories and yet not be satisfied, so it will pounce on available fat tissues and also burn them, which ultimately cause weight loss or cure of obesity.
